In June, 15 percent of the first registered passenger cars were fully electric cars, says Tilastokeskus.
In June about a quarter less new passenger cars were registered than a year earlier, says Statistics Finland. The number of first registrations was around 7,400 in total. The reason for the decrease is, among other things, a component shortage, which causes delays in the production of new cars.
Of the first registered passenger cars, 15 percent were fully electric cars and 20 percent were plug-in hybrids. More than half of the electric cars were registered in Uusimaa province.
About half of all new passenger cars were registered for use by companies.
In January-June, a total of around 43,500 new passenger cars were registered, which is 23 percent less than the previous year.
