Andrea Agnelli, former president of Juventus, in an interview with the Financial Times, pressed on the capital gains case that has engulfed the Juventus team, he stated that he had “a clear conscience”. Refusing to discuss details of the lawsuit, Agnelli says he remains «convinced that everything we did, we did according to the rules, according to financial standards».
The former Juventus president then does not completely dismiss the issue of the Super League: […] he still appears convinced of the project […] And he does not rule out a possible return to the helm of Juventus.

But either we are all incompetent or the ssystem has some shortcomings” Agnelli underlines that, rewinding the tape, he doesn't say he regrets having brought Ronaldo to Juventus. «It was a good move. Give me Ronaldo and let me field him without a pandemic, it would have been a different story”, insists Agnelli.
It is therefore inevitable to return to the Super League project which failed in less than 48 hours under the protest of fans, experts, players and politicians. Agnelli says it is a “mystery” why the rebels did not resist after signing a 200-page contract to join. “I didn't point a gun at anyone's head,” he says. «They all signed freely. Some were more conscious. But they all signed freely”, he reiterates. After that affair Agnelli was defined as a liar by UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin and others. “They're envious.”

Without compromises” […] Although Agnelli claims that between 50 and 60 clubs are discussing new plans for the Super League, none have publicly declared their interest. Of the original clubs only Real Madrid and Barcelona remain involved.
