Bruce Campbellthe protagonist and responsible for the scenes in which his character put Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker in trouble in the first trilogy of “Spider-Man” by Sam Raimi, has just made news by explaining the reason why he was not in “Spiderman: no way home”.
“Recent Spider-Man, was there a recent Spider-Man movie? I didn’t know, I was in the good times. I wouldn’t know,” said Bruce Campbell jokingly. This is how he responded after being asked by a fan if he had already seen “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in the 45-minute Q&A panel at the Fandemic Tour Atlanta this past weekend.

In addition, he spoke about his characteristic role and the importance of his presence in each scene of the three Sam Raimi tapes.
“In the first Spider-Man (2002), I have what they call a cameo. A small role, but, sir, that’s a pivotal role. If my character wasn’t in that movie, this $1 billion franchise would be called ‘The Human Spider.’ Yeah, oh yeah, I don’t like to blow my own horn, but toot toot. Hugely successful, ”he commented, sidelining the jokes a bit.

Also, Campbell continued talking about his participation in “Spider-Man 2″ (2004): “Spider-Man tries to enter a theater to see Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst), his girlfriend, in a play, his first Broadway play. Apparently another cameo, another disposable role. No, essential! I will not let him into the cinema because it spoils the illusion. I’m the only character who defeated Spider-Man, that’s not a lie. A huge success.”
Regarding “Spider-Man 3″ (2007), he referred to the role of the one in charge of directing the waiters that he played. “I am the French maître d’. Sure, just another cameo. ‘Just another cameo,’” he scoffed. “Spider-Man comes to me for help proposing to Mary Jane. How many superheroes do you know who turn to mortals for help? Did I help Spider-Man? No, he was a jerk to me in the first two movies, so he didn’t.”
