A 67-year-old British man admitted in court this week that he had sexually assaulted dozens of the dead in the morgues of two hospitals in the county of Kent. The necrophilia took place between 2008 and 2020. The victims are mostly women, but also a few children. Local politicians demand an investigation into the man, report British media Friday.
The case came to light when David Fuller was arrested late last year on suspicion of murdering two British women in the 1980s. He confessed to these murders earlier this month. When he was arrested, the police found hard drives, diskettes, DVDs and USB sticks in his home containing millions of photos and videos of child pornography. Two hard drives were hidden in a closet, filled with video footage of Fuller sexually assaulting deceased patients.
It is still unclear how many deceased Fuller abused, the BBC is talking about a hundred victims, other media about ‘dozens’. The man worked as an electrician in the hospitals involved. Local politicians are demanding an investigation into how the abuse could have gone on undetected for so long. Parliamentarian Greg Clark called the revelation shocking. “We have to make sure that this never happens again.” British Home Secretary Priti Patel called the case “shocking” and “sick”.
