Steve Albini, 61-year-old sound producer of Nirvana and Pixies albums, has died
Sound engineer and music producer Steve Albini has died at the age of 61. About it reports Pitchfork.
It is specified that the cause of his death was a heart attack.
Albini recorded dozens of famous rock albums. Among them are In Utero by Nirvana, Surfer Rosa by Pixies, Rid of Me by PJ Harvey and others. He preferred to call himself a “sound engineer.”
Music producer Frank Farian died on January 23 at the age of 82. In the mid-1970s, he founded Boney M, whose hits included songs by Daddy Cool, Rasputin and Mary’s Boy Child. He also produced the group Milli Vanilli, known for the track Girl You Know It’s True.
