Jarkson Vilar organized a motorcycle ride on behalf of the president; received BRL 5,700 between April 2020 and October 2021
Pastor Jarkson Vilar, organizer of the “motociata” in favor of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in São Paulo, received 16 installments of emergency aid from the federal government from April 2020 to October 2021.
According to the transparency portal, he received R$ 5,700 in the period. The evangelical is one of the president’s most influential supporters on social media.
Emergency aid was the benefit created by the federal government to support the most vulnerable population during the pandemic. It was intended for informal workers, individual micro-entrepreneurs, self-employed and unemployed.
Jarkson Vilar is a businessman and has already run for federal deputy for the Pros (Republican Party of the Social Order) in São Paulo. He organized the motorcycle race in the capital of São Paulo held on Good Friday (15.Apr.2022).
According to the State Department of Public Security, the government’s expenditure on strengthening policing due to the demonstration was approximately R$ 1 million.
Vilar was also the organizer of the pro-Bolsonaro motorcycle on June 12, 2021, in São Paulo.
In September 2021, he published a video in which he said that “don’t believe anymore” on the president after he urged truckers to stop the ongoing shutdown. At the time, he called Bolsonaro a “cowardly fool”.
In a video published this Sunday (Apr 17) on social media, Jarkson Vilar confirmed that he received the benefit. He said he was unemployed at the time and thanked Jair Bolsonaro and Paulo Guedes.
“I received. What is the problem receiving? I was unemployed. I didn’t even have a store at the time. And thanks to emergency aid I opened a store. Thanks, Bolsonaro. Wow, Paulo Guedes. Thanks”he says with a laugh.
