A survey carried out by Neotrust shows that until 19:00 on Thursday, 25, the total number of Black Friday purchases via e-commerce reached 1,489,954 orders, which means an increase of 4% compared to Thursday that preceded Black Friday in 2020.
In all, sales totaled R$ 821.373 million, a 12% growth compared to the same period last year. The national average purchase ticket is R$ 551.27, 8% higher than 2020. The data consider sales made throughout the country.
According to the head of Communication at T.Group, Julio Pacheco, despite the economic moment, inflation and unemployment, there was an increase in sales and in the average ticket, which indicates that Brazilians are looking to buy more at the event this year.
The survey shows that the region that consumes the most during Black Friday this year is the Southeast, with R$ 447.592 million, followed by the Northeast, with R$ 447.592 million, and, in third place, the South, with R$ 125.382 million. The Midwest totals R$ 64.388 million and the North, R$ 25.139 million.
Women account for 60% of orders and the age group that consumes the most (34%) is between 36 and 50 years old, followed by consumers between 26 and 35 years old (33.35%). Next come buyers up to 25 years old (16.48%). Brazilians over 51 years old occupy the lowest percentage of online purchases, representing (16.11%) of orders.
The top five categories with the most orders are, in that order, Fashion and Accessories; Beauty, Perfumery and Health; Home Articles; Training; and Food and Beverage. “Brazilians are taking advantage of Black Friday to buy basic items, against this backdrop of price increases in supermarkets”, highlights Pacheco.
According to ClearSale, T.Group’s partner in the action, frauds totaling R$ 40.458 million have been avoided so far.
The results of Black Friday 2021 are monitored by the Hora a Hora website, an initiative of Neotrust – one of the four business units of T.Group, sponsored by the Elo Card.
