A couple of days ago a series of rumors arose related to The Flash and the future of the DCEU. While some of these points have already been clarified, one piece of information has been confirmed. Recently, Ben Affleck, who plays Batman in this universe, has confirmed that his last appearance as the Dark Knight will be in The Flash.
Through an interview with the Herald Sun, Affleck has confirmed that he has no plans to continue playing Batman after his participation in The Flash. However, this is not a sad farewell. After the difficult experience that was Justice league by Joss Wheadon, the actor managed to appreciate this role once again during his participation in Zack Snyder’s Justice League Y The Flash, revealing that his favorite scene in this role is in the next DCEU tape. This is what he commented on the matter:
“I’ve never said this, this is fresh off the press, but perhaps my favorite scenes in terms of Batman and the interpretation of Batman that I have done, are in the Flash movie. I hope they keep the integrity of what we did because I thought it was cool and really interesting, different, but not in a way that is incongruous with the character.
Who knows? They might decide it doesn’t work, but when I went and did it, it was really fun and very, very satisfying and encouraging, and I was like, ‘Wow, I think I’ve finally figured it out.’
The most interesting thing is that These statements seem to give force to the rumors that The Flash will remove all the work that Zack Snyder carried out with DC, which also signifies Henry Cavill’s Superman’s farewell, although this has yet to be confirmed. On the other hand, the character of the Dark Knight will have a new film, since Robert Pattinson will be the protagonist of The batman, but this film will not be related to the DCEU.
The Flash will hit theaters on November 4, 2022. In related topics, Ezra Miller has denied the recent rumors of this tape. In the same way, here you can check the first trailer of The Flash.
Editor’s Note:
While some people consider Ben Affleck the best version of Batman on screen, the truth is that the relationship between the character and the role was never the best. The recordings and re-recordings of Justice league They were so heavy to the point that the actor had to go to rehab for his alcohol addiction. At least its ending seems to be nice.
