The Bemyvega start-up won the EmprendeXXI Awards in the Region of Murcia, promoted by CaixaBank, through DayOne, its specialized division for technology and innovation companies and their investors, and co-awarded by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, to through ENISA. Bemyvega develops technology to improve universal accessibility to training and information, both face-to-face and online, by fully capturing the training experience, with real-time recording, retransmission and visualization solutions for classes, talks, conferences or exhibitions.
The prize includes an economic endowment of 6,000 euros, access to specialized international training given by ESADE and experts from Silicon Valley, which in this edition will take place in Munich (Germany), and the opportunity to participate in the Investors Day EmprendeXXI, a conference in which will maintain contact with investors and companies interested in collaborating with the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
One more year, CaixaBank and ENISA continue to promote and support entrepreneurial activity, as well as recognizing the important work they carry out under the motto “Become an innovator of fifteen of the EmprendeXXI Awards”. This 15th edition introduces a name change to the awards, going on to be called EmprendeXXI Awards, which is intended to reflect the evolution and adaptation to new needs.
On this occasion, the award ceremony was held in the auditorium located at the headquarters of the Territorial Management that CaixaBank has in Murcia, during a meeting in which professionals from the territorial management of CaixaBank and ENISA participated, among other speakers.
The ceremony, which was closed by the president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, was held within the framework of the DayOne Innovation Summit, in which a content session with 4 winners in previous editions also took place. In addition, the four finalists were also present: Ceretonia Plus, Flowgy, Inbentus and Nivmu. In Murcia, a total of 17 start-ups participated in this edition.
Awards for each territory and sector
In this edition, in which a total of 763 start-ups from Spain and Portugal participated, 19 awards were given at the territorial level to the newly created companies with the greatest impact in their territory: 17 in Spain, one per autonomous community, and 2 in Portugal, north-central area and Lisbon-south and Islands.
In parallel, companies from any territory that offer the best solutions to some of the current challenges for the entity and for society in general will be awarded. The companies selected for this category will receive a cash prize of 25,000 euros.
In total, a total of 6 challenges have been defined: Bank XXI (innovative solutions that add value to the offer of products and services in the financial sector); Ciudad XXI (aimed at companies that propose solutions to make the cities and towns where we live more sustainable, safe, connected and with adapted mobility); Planeta XXI (innovative proposals that help find the best solution for a lifestyle that is less aggressive with natural resources); Salud XXI (innovate in everything that helps improve the health of citizens through technology); Semilla XXI (technological solutions related to the agri-food industry to establish a more efficient, effective, sustainable and healthy production) and Vive XXI (solutions that help reactivate the sector, as well as new innovative business models and solutions that contribute to its digitization ).
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary, two special runners-up prizes will be awarded for 15,000 euros each. The Social Impact award will be given to the company with the greatest positive influence on society and the Deep Tech award to the most disruptive technological innovation.
This year, as a novelty, all the companies that have presented their candidacy had access to three training sessions in webinar format on some of the key topics for entrepreneurs: financing, storytelling and culture and leadership.
Reference awards for the entrepreneurial ecosystem
Since its creation in 2007, the program has invested 6.7 million euros in cash prizes and accompanying actions, which have benefited more than 430 companies. Throughout its history, more than 8,900 start-ups have participated and more than 3,300 professionals have been involved in committees and juries.
With the EmprendeXXI Awards, CaixaBank and ENISA aim to contribute to the development of young innovative companies with high growth potential. Throughout its history, it has established itself as a reference award for start-ups in Spain and, as of 2018, also in Portugal.
