Azucena Calvay has become the target of criticism online after a scheduled presentation in Áncash that never took place. The singer arrived with her orchestra to the town of Yautan, Casma, but did not show up and stayed inside his bus. The controversial event occurred last Saturday, February 24, the day for which a concert was announced on the artist's official website, so dozens of citizens waited for Calvay to come out on stage. Our technical staff recommended not presenting ourselves so as not to look bad with the public or continue fueling informality and irresponsibility, even if we harm ourselves financially,” they alleged.

For her part, the singer did not get off her orchestra's bus, apparently due to security issues, and in an interview with the Entre Cámaras Noticias portal she stated that the problem arises from the fact that the person who signed the contract with the orchestra is a third person (promoter ) and not the contractor organizing the concert. Therefore, on the day of the show there were two contracts.
Likewise, he emphasized that the requests for good sound equipment, screens, stage, security, advertising, among others, features requested in the contract with the orchestra, were not met. In this way, his team decided not to present with the argument that the public deserves a quality presentation.
“The contract states that they have to provide good sound equipment, lights, screens, stages, security and advertising. We care more about sound and screens. If a promoter does not comply, we artists are not to blame. We are going to withdraw because they are not complying with us and I don't think that only happens with me, that happens with all the artists who go to a town or a city and comply with us,” he stated.
