More than 10 years later, “Avatar” fans are just days away from seeing “The Road to Water,” the much-requested sequel directed once again by James Cameron. Due to the director’s warning that it will be a long film, he bets on his audience so that, like the first part, it will be a box office hit.
As launch day arrives, in the United States, the specialized media have already been able to see “Avatar two”. With positive comments, some already call it a “masterpiece” and a tape that has relaunched 3D.
- DigitalSpy’s Ian Sandwell: “As expected, #AvatarTheWayOfWater is a spectacle, a visual masterpiece with rich use of 3D and breathtaking views. It suffers from a thin story and too many characters to handle, but James Cameron pulls off an extraordinary final act packed with emotion and action.”
- Erik Davis from Fandango: “Happy to say that ‘Avatar: the way of water’ is phenomenal. The film is visually stunning, visceral and incredibly compelling.”
- Collider’s Perri Nemiroff: “Is incredible. I had faith that James Cameron would raise the bar with the effects, but these images are amazing. Story-wise, it’s a lot of film and I’m looking forward to watching it a second time to go over details. The returning cast is great, but the newcomers are the standouts.”
- Kara Warner from People magazine: “As a fan of Avatar, I had high hopes for the sequel and for me it totally fulfills its purpose. Sure it’s a bit long, but it’s worth it for the gorgeous pictures. A total emotion.
