Aspi, traffic up by 18.5% on 2020 but still lower than pre-pandemic levels
Highways for Italy it closes the third quarter with revenues operating equal to 2.8 billion, in 23% growth, with a mol nearly tripled to 1.506 billion. The combined effect of the growth in net revenues, lower net provisions and greater maintenance activities favored the recovery.
The profit of the period pertaining to the group is equal to 498 million, compared to a loss of 292 million in the first nine months of 2020. The board of directors, after approving the accounts for the nine months, reported an increase in traffic on the network, up by 18.5% over 2020, but still far from pre-pandemic levels: the decline over 2019 is 13%.
The investments operational reach 567 million against 345 million in the first nine months of 2020 and the net financial debt of the group as at 30 September was 8.349 billion, a decrease of 208 million compared to 31 December 2020.
Highways specifies that “excluding further restrictive measures to mobility”, it is reasonable to predict a reduction in overall traffic for the year 2021 of approximately -10% compared to the pre-pandemic volumes in 2019 and at the same time an improvement of approximately 23 % compared to 2020 levels. “Based on these traffic assumptions, it is expected that i Net revenues from toll of Highways for 2021 they will be around 2.8 billion.
