Athletics | Disturbing superiority in the European youth championships: Aituri Rasmus Vehmaa, 17, pinked to a sovereign victory

Rasmus Vehmaa broke the race record, but there was too much tailwind behind him.

17 years old aturi promise Rasmus Vehmaa showed a startling superiority at the under-18 European Athletics Championships in Jerusalem.

Vehmaa set a great time of 13:18 in the preliminaries and left his competitors standing. At the end he could afford to jog like Usain Bolt in my opinion. Second of the batch, Spain Eneko Soberanas was more than half a second behind the Finn (13:71).

Vehma’s time would have been a race record, but there was too much of a tailwind. The speaker traveled 3.7 meters per second.

“Look at that time! What time! He literally flew,” the race commentator raved.

Cheer up holds the Finnish under-17 record of 13:41. He represents the Sports Men of Lappeenranta.

In the results of high-speed fences, it must be taken into account that young people run lower fences than adults. In Vehma’s races, the fence height was 91.4 centimeters, while in the adult races, fences of 106.7 centimeters are crossed.

Monday is the opening day of the European Under-18 Championships. Vehmaa’s work continues on Tuesday in the semi-finals and possible final. The races end on Thursday.
