At least two dead and 15 seriously injured in France in an accident involving a bus that left Catalonia

At least two people were killed and seven others seriously injured this Sunday in the accident of a bus that left L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and that took place on a mountain road in the department of Pyrénées-Orientales, in the south of France, reported the Prefecture.

Another seven people suffered minor injuries on the bus in which 47 people were traveling, including the driver, the Government Delegation added in a statement.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the bus hit a ledge next to the road near the municipality of Porté-Puymorens, in the Pyrenees, near the Principality of Andorra.

The bus ended up overturned on the road, which caused the closure of national highway 320.

The injured have been transferred to different hospital centers in the area, while a crisis team has been created to assist their loved ones.

120 troops from France, Spain and Andorra went to the scene of the events, said the Prefecture, which indicated that several helicopters were also sent due to the difficulties in accessing the scene.
