At least two people have died, seven have been seriously injured and another is missing after an accident in Porté-Puymorens (France) a bus that had left L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), the Medical Emergency Service (SEM) and Civil Protection of the Generalitat report in messages from X.
Seven other people have suffered minor injuries in the accident of this bus, in which 47 people were traveling, including the driver, the police added. Government Delegation in a statement.
The SEM has activated seven ground units, one logistics unit, two commands, a psychological support team and a medical helicopter, in addition to activating two commands at the Health Coordination Center. Civil Protection has activated the Procicat plan in a state of pre-alert. 120 troops from France, Spain and Andorra have already attended the scene of the events, the Prefecture has indicated.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the bus hit a ledge next to the road near the municipality of Porté-Puymorens, in the Pyrenees, near the Principality of Andorra. The bus ended up overturned on the road, which caused the closure of national highway 320.
The accident occurred around 6:00 p.m. and the injured began to be transferred to the Cerdanya Hospital in Puigcerdà, which shortly before 8:30 p.m. had received two of them, hospital sources have reported.
