Here we are with the analysis of this second trio of episodes of Arcane and all the easter eggs they contain. As we already expected, once again there are many both for the newest to the lore of League of Legends, both for those a little older. The series Netflix, created in collaboration with Riot Games and which tells the story of the world of Runeterra in fact, it does not stop showing all the passion and care for the smallest details that the authors wanted to insert inside. But stop the chatter and let’s go immediately to see what we found this time!
I thought I saw a … mouse!
The episode begins with a bang, and a clash immediately breaks out in the Piltover airport where Silco’s gang, in which Jinx also plays, confronts the Firelights. If you notice one of them is wearing a mouse mask, and his ears are quite reminiscent of those of a rodent. It seems in fact a clear reference to Twitch, the well-known rat of League of Legends who uses poison! Furthermore, the leader of the Firelights continues to stare at a clock, which perhaps he is Ekko with a prototype of what is his future Z-Engine?
A very metal tattoo
Always remaining on the Zaun theme, after discovering that Silco is now the master, the series makes a roundup of different places in the slums, and it is here that we can see a tattoo artist intent on creating a design well known to players of LoL. This is the logo of Pentakill, metal band in which several champions of the game play and who recently also released a new album. These are really bad guys!
Two peculiar objects
Moving instead to Piltover, the two guys of the moment, Jayce and Viktor, decide to show their first real hextech creations (excluding hexgates) at Heimerdinger, showing the yordle two big gloves as a miner and a robotic arm capable of firing lasers. The more observant will not have escaped that those are the future unique weapons that Vi and Viktor himself will use when fighting in Summoner’s Rift.
A famous name
This more than being an easter egg is a strange and interesting case. When Caitlyn and Vi stop for a bite to eat in the streets of Zaun, they decide to stop at the counter of what appears to be a huge fish-man. Well, the cook’s name is Jericho, which is the same name as Swain, the impassive Noxian strategist general. Really a strange coincidence. Furthermore, another curiosity, in these scenes it is the first time that we can observe the two heroines wearing the outfit they have in their respective Arcane skins on League of Legends.
Two other very important masks
Continuing the adventures in search of Jinx, the two girls end up in a brothel hunting for clues. As they pass in front of the various rooms, however, you can see how a couple of people who are relaxing are wearing the two masks of Kindred and the Wolf. Evidently the legend of the lamb of death must have reached the slums.
They too come from Runeterra?
How beautiful is the initials of Arcane? It’s so spot on for the rhythms, sounds and themes that it almost seems to have been made by characters from the series itself… Hey, wait a minute, aren’t those Imagine Dragons ?!
The fire made you a little different …
In the sixth episode we discover that Viktor has returned to visit an old acquaintance of his, and we can see how, after the explosion created by Powder in episode 3, this doctor has now remained bald and with important scars on his face. If before we had only strong doubts, now it has become a certainty, he is Singed, the mad scientist from Zaun, a character from League of Legends that we could definitely define… toxic!
A book of horrors
We conclude this Easter egg roundup on these central episodes of Arcane with a scary gem. While Silco’s soldiers look after Markus’s daughter, we can see that the book of fear they are reading portrays a Teemo in plain sight. With a story like that, not even an adult would sleep!
Also this week we showed you all the easter eggs that we managed to find in the three episodes of Arcane. Certainly though many others await us in the final episodes which will be released this weekend, so stay up to date to find out what the authors have included in the conclusion of this first season.
