Since his separation from his club Boca Juniors last June, while he was thirty-seven years old, veteran Argentine star Carlos Tevez refuses to announce his retirement permanently, although he is not interested in searching for a new club to play for, and admits that he is not in a hurry, because he is currently enjoying life away from the “green rectangle”.
Tevez, nicknamed “The Apache”, who starred in Europe with Juventus, Manchester United and Manchester City, says that he does not have a strong motivation at the present time to return to professional football, and that he no longer misses playing, yet he refuses to officially announce his retirement from the ball.
And Tevezvi added, in an interview with “ESPN” network: “I do not feel the desire to be in a football stadium, last Saturday I had a “marriage party” for a friend, while Boca Juniors was playing against Gimencia and lost 0-1, and I would say to myself: If I was playing now With them, I would not have been able to attend the wedding ceremony, and if this loss occurred while I was with them, I would not be able to attend the ceremony, because I would be very angry with the defeat, or I would have to attend, and people would say at the time: Boca lost and Tevez went to a wedding after the defeat!!
Tevez admits that all his friends and family are asking him to return to football, but he said: I don’t know where to start? Now I’m taking advantage of the moment off the ball.
He added, “People started asking many questions about my return to the stadiums, but between myself and myself I have not yet found the incentive or motive for such a return, and I would like there to be something that interests me and motivates me to return, to offer something new from myself, but so far, Every time I watch a match between Juventus or Boca Juniors, I look inside myself for the motivation that pushes me to play for the next 6 months or a year, but I can’t find it!
Whatever Tevez decides, and ultimately his position, regarding his retirement announcement, the curtain is sure to come down on a star who has had an exceptional footballing career.
