It's always tough for indie games to find their niche and Aggro Crab – author of Another Crab's Treasure – is joking about the situation it finds itself in. In fact, the team underlines how Silksong and Hades 2 are “squeezing” Another Crab's Treasure in one's grasp.
As you can see below, Aggro Crab shared a little maritime themed memeperfect for the setting of their game.
In a second tweet, Aggro Crab says it's much better for the team to go up against Stellar Blade (which comes out a day later than the indie) “as God intended.”
What is the connection with Hades 2 and Silksong?
Another Crab's Treasure is a game inspired by soulslike in which we play the role of a small hermit crab whose shell has been stolen and must go on an adventure to find it again.
Hades 2 is a hack and slash roguelite, while Silksong is a metroidvania. The three games are therefore very different, but in a certain sense their respective audiences overlap at least in part with that of soulslikes. The point of the meme is that two big games are getting closer (Hades 2 is about to start technical testing and Silksong has been classified in multiple countries, which usually precedes an official release announcement) and Aggro Crab is trying to get to destination before these two titles block it.
We remind you that Another Crab's Treasure is arriving on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox on April 25th, also on Game Pass.
