NORAD head Guillot: Russia has increased its arsenal of ballistic missiles in a year
Over the course of a year, Russia has increased its arsenal of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) equipped with the Avangard hypersonic unit. This was stated by the head of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Gregory Guillot, his words are quoted by TASS.
He noted that these missiles can bypass radars and interceptors of missile defense systems (BMD).
“In addition, it is preparing to put into service the heavy Sarmat ICBM, which, according to Vladimir Putin, will be equipped with a partial orbital launch system, which will allow it to reach North America along a non-standard trajectory – through the South Pole,” Guyot said.
Earlier, the head of NORAD said that the United States does not have enough capabilities to repel an attack similar to Iran’s attack on Israel.
