Simultaneously with the arrival of Alfa Romeo Tonal, Giulia and Stelvio they are about to undergo a restyling that will accompany them towards the end of their career. In addition to aesthetic changes, in particular through the light signature, Alfa Romeo has decided to introduce the so-called Virtual Cockpit TFT in the cockpit.
An image, published by Instalfisti on Facebook, it shows the new digital component standing out behind the wheel. The ‘stolen’ photo comes from the Cassino production plant, and seeing it online certainly won’t please the CEO Jean-Philippe Learned – who would like to exploit the surprise effect to relaunch all Alfa Romeo’s activities in the global market.
In any case, an improvement was expected with regards to the interior, so to bring Alfa Romeo as close as possible to the standards of comfort and digital presence offered by competing brands. The digital screen behind the wheel is definitely a must for all those who want to offer premium content, and therefore the Italian manufacturer cannot avoid this type of update. At this point, changes to the infotainment system can also be easily imagined, more likely on the software side than on the hardware side.
The new range of Alfa Romeo Stelvio engines should be electrified for the most part, with the light hybrid dominating the offer of the restyling of the Italian SUV. The 48 Volt mild-hybrid system should be borrowed from Maserati Ghibli Hybrid and propose a configuration with a total power of 330 hp and 450 nm of maximum torque. The hybridization would still allow to keep the focus on performance.
