The World Government Summit will be held in Dubai, from February 13 to 15, under the slogan “Forecasting Future Governments”, with the participation of heads of state and government, ministers, officials, heads of international organizations, heads of international companies, prominent businessmen from the private sector, international experts and future forecasters.
His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit Foundation, confirmed that the new session of the World Government Summit 2023 comes within the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him.
This came during the World Government Summit dialogue held by the World Government Summit Foundation today at the Museum of the Future in Dubai to announce the agenda, themes and forums of the new session of the summit.
His Excellency Muhammad Al-Gergawi said: “The World Government Summit 2023 gathers on its platform 20 heads of state and prime minister, where His Excellency Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Macky Sall, President of Senegal and President of the African Union, and His Excellency Mario Abdo participate Benitez, President of the Republic of Paraguay, His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as a group of heads of state and heads of government.
His Excellency pointed out that the platform of the World Government Summit this year will bring together more than 250 ministers, in addition to 10 thousand businessmen, government officials, thought leaders and the most prominent global experts in the world.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi added, “This year, the summit brings together more than 80 global and regional organizations, to become the most prominent global gathering and the most important event for global organizations. Among the heads of international organizations who will speak this year are Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and President of the World Economic Forum, and Christina Georgieva, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund.” His Excellency Ngozi Okonjo-Iwela, Director of the World Trade Organization, His Excellency Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, His Excellency Muhammad Al-Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, His Excellency Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, And the Director of the International Finance Corporation, in addition to a speech from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, a word from the President of the World Bank, and participation from the International Atomic Energy Agency, the International Labor Organization and others.
His Excellency pointed out that the World Government Summit hosts global leaders from the private sector, such as Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater, as well as Mr. Alan Schwartz, CEO of Guggenheim Partners, Hiroshi Mikenati, CEO of Rakuten, and Christian Broch, President of Siemens Energy. In addition to the most prominent international businessmen, the summit also brings together elite scientists such as economist Esther Duflo and chemist Dr. Roger Kornberg, Nobel Prize winners. The World Government Summit will witness more than 220 sessions, in which 300 international personalities, including presidents, ministers, experts, thinkers and future makers, will speak. The World Government Summit launched partnerships with more than 80 strategic, knowledge and media partners, and this year it issued 20 knowledge reports, in cooperation with the most important international research institutions.
