Dr. Qareeb Allah Muhammad Ahmed, Director General of the Ministry of Education in charge of the state of Khartoum, said that a number of Sudanese states were significantly affected by torrential rains, in light of the damage to large areas of Sudan, especially the states of Gezira, Blue Nile, Kassala, Red Sea, River Nile, Northern and Darfur. However, he clarified that the impact of torrential rains on educational institutions in Khartoum State was limited and did not significantly affect the resumption of the educational process and the start of the new school year in the state. He noted the strength of the Emirati-Sudanese relations, whose foundations were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, and the wise leadership of the UAE followed his approach to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood that unite the two brotherly peoples, as the education sector in Sudan received generous Emirati support during the “Corona” period. By providing us with study seats and educational supplies that covered more than 70% of the basic needs of schools, which contributed to the stability of the educational process at the level of the states of Sudan within the framework of the distinguished fraternal support of our brothers in the UAE.
Abdul Rahman Muhammad Othman Abdullah, Director of Al-Fath School, said: “The support provided by the UAE to male and female students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year comes within the framework of the brotherly relations that unite the UAE and Sudan, and in turn contributes to motivating students to continue studying in an encouraging educational environment through the help of the family.
