Three agents from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), two from the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) and one from the capital’s Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) were arrested with eight civilians for simulating a search to allegedly deprive a man of his liberty in Nezahualcóyotl.
According to reports, police from that municipality in the State of Mexico implemented an operation in the Colonia Campestre Guadalupana, after receiving a report that a group of individuals forcibly entered a home.
Along with the 14 probable perpetrators, they also seized 10 packages with white powder with characteristics of cocaine, six pistol-type firearms, live cartridges, six cars and dollars in cash.
The six officers and eight civilians, who apparently acted as “godmothers”, were attempting to carry out an alleged arrest warrant, without having judicial orders.
