In Imatra one person has been taken to further treatment after a three-vehicle crash on highway 6 on Tuesday evening, says the South Karelia rescue service.
A heavy vehicle combination and two cars were involved in the collision that happened a little after ten in the evening near Korvenkanna.
The rescue service had to dismantle another car in order to get the driver out of the car. All vehicles were damaged beyond driving.
The road was initially completely closed to traffic due to the accident, but around midnight only one lane in the direction of Joensuu was out of use. The rescue service estimates before midnight that the clearing work will last two hours.
