“A bet is a bet”, he reiterated on Instagram Daniel Ricciardo immortalizing his former team principal Cyril Abiteboul ready to honor the pact made with the Australian. The couple who shared two years of work at Renault in 2019-2020 had offered a tattoo from Cyril Abiteboul if Ricciardo had managed to bring the French house to the podium. The Australian did it both at the Nurburgring and at Imola and so a year later the transalpine manager did not betray the trust of a smiling Ricciardo, happy to see the verbal agreement with Abiteboul materialized.
Cyril tattooed a drawing based on the work of the Hungarian-born painter on his calf Victor Vasarely, one of the founders of Optical Art (an abstract art movement born around the sixties and then developed in the seventies of the twentieth century), a design that combines the abstract form of a honey badger, Daniel’s favorite animal, with half of the Renault lozenge.
A bet’s a bet, right? 😉
And after last year’s promise to @danielricciardo, Cyril Abiteboul finally got his tattoo! 👀😆# F1 pic.twitter.com/LrMLvIgODk
