During a phone call with His Excellency Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed current developments in the Middle East region and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
His Highness discussed with Borrell the efforts of the international community to reach a sustainable ceasefire, allowing the flow of relief and medical aid to the people of Gaza intensively and at an accelerated pace.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s support for all regional and international efforts made to reach a sustainable ceasefire.
His Highness pointed out that the difficult humanitarian conditions that the brotherly Palestinian people are suffering from require urgent action from all actors in the international community to enhance the humanitarian response to the needs of civilians and alleviate their suffering.
