The Civil Guard dismantled a criminal organization that was dedicated to the irregular transfer of plastic waste from, above all, the Region of Murcia, the Valencian Community and Almería to Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand, among other Asian countries.
The agents arrested 27 people, who constituted a network deployed in Spain and who had sent 16,000 tons of this waste without decontaminating, with a profit of 15 million euros. The leadership of the organization was established in Malaysia and Singapore.
