As an extension of our talk yesterday about the values of the homeland of nobility and loyalty, which our wise leadership is keen on instilling and consolidating them, with its insight and visionary thinking, I recall a saying by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, dating back to May 2013, When His Highness announced his vision for the future government, he described it as “a government that never sleeps.” His Highness said, “I met with 1,000 government officials from the first, second and third ranks, and we announced our vision for a future government.” “The government of the future is a government that does not sleep.. it works 24 hours a day.. 365 days a year.. it is hospitable like hotels.. it is fast in its dealings.. it is strong in its procedures.” “The government of the future is a creative government.. it responds quickly to changes.. and innovates solutions.” For all challenges..that facilitate people’s lives and bring them happiness.”
A vision that carried more than just a call for excellence, but rather inventing solutions and facilitating people’s lives and making them happy, and at the forefront is the happiness of employees and workers who are entrusted with the happiness of people, because they are simply the important partner in the equation, and if he is not happy in his work enjoying all the facilities and advantages of his own, how can we expect him to make him happy Others, and because “the one who loses something does not give it to him.”
An introduction in which we remind everyone, especially the professional implementers of “pure” administrative regulations in ministries, departments and institutions, while I was following the honoring of a resident businessman and head of a medical group in the private sector for workers in his group, by distributing shares from his health company to them for their role in addressing “Corona”, among them a worker Cleanliness, nurses and doctors, a noble and civilized gesture that delights them and enhances their loyalty and career affiliation.
Many years ago, I met an old Arab resident who was working in a European food supply group, and I asked him if he still worked in it, and he proudly replied that he had retired by age, but he became one of its shareholders, after I honored him with a large financial reward for his service period And with the shares that were given to him.
Civilized gestures that express loyalty, appreciation and honor, are absent from those departments and institutions that are occupied to the core with the imprint of attendance and departure for employees and workers, and do not have any sense of innovation to motivate and appreciate them. Rather, we find painful practices when referring some of them to retirement or dispensing with their services, which you do not find an explanation or justification for. Except for narrow-mindedness, and abided by outdated regulations that do not deal with the employee with the vision of future governments and the authentic values of the Emirates.
