The Civil Guard detained seven people, one of them a minor, and seized 150 doses of cocaine, about half a kilo of marijuana in buds and hashish
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia carried out operation ‘Northwest’ in Bullas, an investigation framed in the services to prevent and prosecute drug trafficking, which resulted in the dismantling of a criminal group that ran three drug sales points in the urban area of the municipality.
After the operation, the Civil Guard arrested the seven members of the dismantled criminal clan, one of them a minor and most of them young, to whom the alleged authorship of the crimes of belonging to a criminal group, drug trafficking and electricity fraud.
In the searches carried out in homes in Bullas, the civil guards seized more than 150 doses of cocaine, about half a kilogram of marijuana buds and several grams of hashish, numerous elements related to drug trafficking, such as cash, vehicles and objects used for the preparation of the doses, among others, as well as objects stolen and later used as currency to acquire drugs.
The actions began last October, when members of the Benemérita Citizen Security Prevention opened the operation after obtaining some evidence that linked several people to the retail distribution of drugs in the Bullero municipality. The first steps of the operation made it possible to verify that the people on whom the main line of investigation had been set, presumably, were part of a criminal group dedicated to the sale of different types of drugs to other distributors and habitual consumers of Bullas and neighboring towns.
As a result of the investigations carried out, the civil guards identified the seven members of the criminal group – most of them young – and, in addition, they were able to locate the three houses used as active drug sales points in the urban area of the town. . Once all the necessary evidence had been obtained, prior judicial authorization, the Civil Guard carried out the exploitation phase of the operation with four entries and searches of buildings in which different types of drugs and numerous objects related to criminal activity now cleared up.
The operation culminated in the arrest of the seven members of the criminal group, one of them a minor, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of belonging to a criminal group, against public health – for drug trafficking – and electricity fraud. The analysis of the information obtained during the investigation made it possible to determine that the now dismantled criminal group carried out extensive criminal activity with a high capacity for both the production and distribution of narcotic substances.
During the development of the operation, the members of the Civil Guard had the collaboration of the Bullas Local Police. The detainees, the drug seized, the effects seized and the proceedings carried out were made available to the Mula Investigating Court and the Murcia Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
