The young agent pounced on the suspect, who tried to attack her several times with broken glass bottles
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia arrested an individual in Puerto de Mazarrón who was reduced by an agent in training when he was about to enter a leisure area where a fight was taking place, wielding two large glass bottles. The criminal, “dangerous” according to the armed institute, has a long criminal record after trying to attack the civil guard with broken bottles. Finally, he was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attack on a law enforcement officer.
The action began when civil guards from the Prevention of Citizen Security were alerted by a neighbor of Puerto de Mazarrón of the existence of a fight in a leisure establishment near the barracks. Immediately, the three civil guards who were on duty left for the establishment, while an individual ran towards the same place with two glass bottles in his hands that he had obtained from a nearby container.
One of the agents, a civil guard in training, rushed forward and threw the suspect to the ground to reduce him and keep him away from where he could cause harm to third parties. In those moments, the subject, far from giving up his attitude, smashed the bottles against the pavement and tried repeatedly to attack the young agent before the expectant gaze of the neighbors.
When his companions noticed, they retreated in their advance towards the premises to help the agent, who was struggling on the ground with the subject without his giving up his attitude. The action culminated in the arrest of a 24-year-old Moroccan man, a resident of Puerto de Mazarrón and with a long criminal record as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of serious attack on a law enforcement officer. The detainee, the sharp objects and the proceedings instructed were placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court number 2 of Totana (Murcia).
