The shipment -made up of 33 pallets- includes water provided by SanBenedetto, sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, non-perishable food and sanitary items
The `solidarity truck’ of the Caliche Group, an initiative with which the company gives up its logistics and transport services for social purposes, begins this week a series of trips to the Ukrainian border with basic necessities aimed at the civilian population of That country. The Murcian company is in contact with business organizations, private companies and NGOs in the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community so that its fleet of vehicles is responsible for coordinating the collection of all these products and taking them to their recipients.
On this first trip, a trailer with more than 22,000 kilos of products will depart from the Caliche logistics center in Picassent and the final destination will be one of the main border crossings between Poland and Ukraine, where the material will be delivered and subsequently distributed within the country. The shipment -made up of 33 pallets- includes water provided by SanBenedetto, sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, non-perishable food and sanitary items, in coordination with the Association of Ukrainians ‘New Generation’.
More than 100,000 kilometers
With the ‘solidarity truck’, Grupo Caliche offers companies, institutions and NGOs free of charge two trailers and a rigid truck to make cooperation projects a reality. In addition, it coordinates all the details of the logistics plan and, if necessary, connects both parties for those entities that want to collaborate, but have not defined how to do so.
Since it was launched in 2019, the ‘solidarity truck’ has participated in more than 500 solidarity projects, with which it has traveled more than 100,000 kilometers and has delivered more than 21,000 tons of items, especially food.
