SAO PAULO (Reuters) – QuintoAndar announced this Thursday that it will open a technology center in Lisbon, in a step towards the internationalization of the online platform for buying and selling apartments.
In a statement, the startup stated that the center in Portugal, its first outside Brazil, will start operating in March 2022 with around 50 employees by the end of the year.
“Portugal was the obvious choice for us because of its strategic location in Europe…and the ease of adapting the new office to our culture, as well as helping to attract more companies and investment,” said Gabriel, QuintoAndar’s chief executive, Gabriel Braga.
According to the company, projects carried out in Lisbon will be used both in Brazil and in countries such as Mexico, a market to which it announced expansion recently.
