The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the level warning yellow (risk) due to rain in Canary Islands, specifically in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, where a cumulative rainfall of 15 liters per square meter in one hour.
The warning covers the entire island of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro from 12:00 p.m. and mainly affects the western slopes.
In Tenerifethe warning, active from 6:00 p.m., refers to the east, south and west of the island, also due to accumulated precipitation of 15 liters per square meter in one hour, mainly affecting the southwest.
In Gran Canariathe yellow warning is activated in the east, south, west and summits, mainly affecting the southwest, from 9:00 p.m.
With the yellow alert there is no meteorological risk for the general population, although there is for some concrete activity.
