Ministry of Defense: Airborne Forces fighters ambushed Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk region, destroying equipment and soldiers
Paratroopers ambushed the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in one of the areas in the Kursk region, destroying equipment and soldiers. This was reported in Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“In one of the areas, thanks to the actions of operators of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and anti-tank missile systems (ATGM) crews, paratroopers set up an ambush for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and completely defeated them,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
It was also specified that the operators of the attack drones destroyed an all-terrain vehicle with a crew, an infantry fighting vehicle and an armored car of Western manufacture, and also hit and immobilized an infantry fighting vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with personnel.
The day before, Politico wrote that due to the success of Russian troops in Donbass, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are forced to redeploy some of the units involved in the attack on the Kursk region. It is noted that this decision is due to the high losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the south of Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian side could organize a humanitarian corridor for residents of Sudzha in the Kursk region. This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov.
