The individual, identified as Pablo Ezequiel Abraham Da Silva, was arrested on Saturday in the town of José Clemente Paz, at the home of a friend where he had taken refuge.
Da Silva had visible scratches on his neck and face, signs that the victim tried to defend himself during the attack. According to authorities, the man was charged with homicide aggravated by gender violence, cruelty, sexual abuse and robbery. These charges carry life sentences in prison in Argentina.
