In Android 16, smartphone functions can be customized from the notification panel
Android 16 will feature a quick settings function for your smartphone. About this reports Android Authority publication.
Media journalist Mishaal Rahman studied the latest beta version of Android 15 and discovered several hidden features in it. In particular, the specialist found an option that will allow you to manage your smartphone settings directly from the notification panel.
According to Rahman, the feature will definitely not appear in Android 15, as it appears to be in early development. However, the ability to quickly and finely control your phone’s settings will be a feature of Android 16, which will be released in 2025.
An Android Authority expert managed to activate the secret feature. He then swiped down from the top of the screen, opening the notifications section, and saw a panel with the phone’s settings. According to him, the new panel allows you to connect to Wi-Fi networks, turn Bluetooth on or off, put the device in “airplane mode,” and manage other device settings.
In early September, Google completed work on Android 15 and published the operating system’s source code. The company promised that the OS would be available for download in the coming weeks.
