A special model that recalls the landscapes and colors of Sardinia. Lamborghini presents an Opera Unica: a Revuelto created by the Ad Personam customization department in collaboration with the Centro Stile that pays homage to the blue and the characteristic seascapes of the island. The Lamborghini Opera Revuelto was presented during an exclusive dinner in the luxurious Cala di Volpe hotel, in the heart of one of the most famous and spectacular tourist destinations in Italy.
A one of a kind Bull
“A Lamborghini Opera Unica celebrates innovation, creativity and the ability to express art on our super sports cars, which is the heart of our brand”said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO. “Our clients can explore color variations, details, different materials, embroideries and finishes inside and out with Ad Personam to produce a Lamborghini that is truly personalized to them: this Opera Unica takes our creativity a step further, demonstrating painting techniques and interior finishes that are reserved for Opera Unica creations, making it a truly unique piece of art as it reflects the distinctive seascape and emotions of one of the most beautiful islands in Italy.”
Craft work
In addition to the standard production time of a Lamborghini Revuelto, the exterior paint effects required another 475 hours of craftsmanship. The work of art was created by meticulously treating the car’s body as if it were a canvas: from the localized two- to three-tone fade, then enhanced by brush painting that recalls waves hitting the cliff, to the painting technique used to customize details such as the Start/Stop button cover and the nameplate. The embroidery finish of the interior required 85 hours of work just to produce the new tool needed for the water stitching effect dedicated to this Opera Unica.
The livery of this unique work
The one-of-a-kind Revuelto uses painting techniques specially developed by Lamborghini Ad Personam, highlighting the car’s intriguing angles and lines like a piece of modern architecture. Three distinct shades of blue are combined with Lamborghini’s mastery of brush and spatula to create special effects, exclusive to this Opera Unica. Inspired by the crystalline seas of Sardinia, water bubbles, waves and the deep blue of aquatic caves, darker and lighter shades of blue are used on the Revuelto’s various surfaces, accentuating its design and avant-garde lines. Blu Tawaret is the base color on the car’s front panels and roof, contrasting with the lighter Blu Cepheus used to create a fade effect and on the rear panels. Blu Okeanos is paired as a third blue to create an even deeper fade effect on the hood and around the front splitter, highlighted by Nero Bocca paint, gloss carbon splitter and side skirts, and gloss black Altanero wheels with black carbon-ceramic brakes. The “sfumato” effect of the brush and spatula paint carries waves of the three blues across the rear, from the front to the sides and rear, evoking the shimmering turquoise blues found in the refracted sea light on sand and stones.
Interiors
The Selleria features Blu Delphinus as the main colour of the upholstery, highlighted by the lighter Blu Amon on the seat backs, doors and centre console trim, with contrasting Bianco Leda white stitching and piping. The seats, door panels, tunnel and roofline introduce a new feature in the application of the Revuelto embroidery: thanks to a specially developed tool, three-tone stitching in Blu Amon, Blu Chepeus and Bianco Leda, which recall the sparkling hues of Sardinian waters. This effect is echoed by the Opera Unica plate in Blu Mira carbon on the rear wall of the passenger compartment and the Start/Stop button cover on the centre console.
The performances of Lamborghini Revuelto
Revuelto is the first V12 plug-in hybrid HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) super sports car. The power of 1015 hp is delivered by the combination of a combustion engine and three electric motors, together with a dual clutch transmission that made its debut for the first time on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini. The super sports car from the Bull can thus accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 350 km/h.
