After winning 1-0 at the Américo Montanini stadium, León tied the series in Bogotá (3-2) and forced penalty kicks, in which goalkeeper Aldaír Quintana was the star and gave his team the star.
The video for which Alejandro Riaño and Hugo Rodallega are criticized
The figure and reference of Santa Fe’s attack in that final, Hugo Rodallega, was invited to the Juanpis Show program, where he was interviewed by Juanpis González, a character played by comedian Alejandro Riaño.
In the middle of the conversation, Juanpis said that he was going to give the attacker a gift. He pulled out a Bucaramanga shirt, already with the first star on the crest, but marked with the surname Rodallega and the number 11.
The footballer, visibly upset, was taken aback. The comedian’s attitude received a lot of criticism. “Do you know what it’s for? So you can clean things at home,” said Juanpis, while wiping down the desk with his t-shirt.
Rodallega thanked the gift and received it, but then threw the jacket to the other end of the sofa.something that also did not go down well with Bucaramanga fans.
In the full show, which was uploaded to YouTube, the part where Rodallega throws the shirt was removed and Riaño himself, out of character, explained the reason for his behavior, just as he does in every show.
“Really, thank you for lending yourself to a show that, and I asked him in the dressing room, is super racist. These types of characters find it very cool to be like Juanpis, and the invitation is for them to ask themselves and reflect on what we are laughing at,” said Riaño.
“This is a criticism of people who, because they have a little bit of power, can criticize people as they please. It is a criticism of power in general,” he added.
The mayor of Bucaramanga came out to criticize Alejandro Riaño
That, however, did not prevent him from avoiding criticism, starting with the mayor of Bucaramanga himself, Jaime Andrés Beltrán.
“I would like to invite Alejandro Riaño to Bucaramanga so that he can see first-hand what this shirt represents for the vast majority of people from Bucaramanga,” the mayor wrote on his X account, commenting on the video fragment. “A humble team, which achieved its first star with great sacrifice, deserves to have its shirt and shield respected,” he added.
