According to the SVR (System of Values Receivable), R$6.78 billion has already been returned; the numbers are from April
O B.C. (Central Bank) released on Friday (June 7, 2024) the balance sheet referring to the amounts available for redemption by individuals and legal entities, totaling R$8.15 billion. The numbers are from April. O Total withdrawals increased by R$13 million compared to the previous report, released in May.
According to the monetary authority, 4.7 billion are parked in banks, while the rest of the amounts are distributed among consortiums, cooperatives, payment institutions and brokers.
O report indicates that, of the total R$6.7 billion returned, R$5 billion come from individuals (41,104,921), and R$1.7 billion, from legal entities (3,264,504).
Furthermore, most beneficiaries have access to less than R$100.00. Read how the values are distributed:
- up to R$ 10.00 – 32,285,918 beneficiaries;
- from R$10.01 to R$100.00 – 12,677,795 beneficiaries;
- from R$100.01 to R$1,000.00 – 4,944,765 beneficiaries;
- above R$ 1,000.01 – 902,006 beneficiaries.
NEW SVR
The new “forgotten money” withdrawal system, which began operating on May 2, acts in consultation and withdrawal of amounts without the need for an appointment. To consult the possibility of withdrawal, the user must enter the site of the program and inform the CPF (Individual Person Registry), in addition to the date of birth.
If available, the money will be automatically returned to anyone who has a registered Pix key. Anyone who doesn’t have it needs to contact the institution that has the forgotten money.
