Data from the Sharjah Housing Department showed that the total value of housing support for housing projects amounted to 13 billion and 500 million dirhams, from which 13,474 beneficiaries have benefited since the beginning of the department’s establishment in 2011, while the total grants provided by the department reached 6,930 grants, and the number of loans reached 6,544 loans.
The Head of the Housing Department, Engineer Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, confirmed during the media meeting “Tawasul” organized by the Sharjah Press Club at the department’s headquarters yesterday, the department’s keenness to implement the directives and visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in accelerating The pace of benefiting from housing support, and harnessing all its energies to meet the housing needs provided to the citizens of the emirate from its various cities and regions.
He pointed out that the department is working to meet the housing needs of the people of the emirate, seeking to provide suitable housing and decent living for citizen families, and moving forward to improve the housing situation in Sharjah.
For his part, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Office, Tariq Saeed Allay, stressed the importance of the initiatives of the Sharjah Housing Department in accordance with the vision and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, to provide housing stability for citizen families and a decent life, praising the department’s efforts in providing sustainable housing and supporting development trends in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The “Tawasul” meeting discussed mechanisms to support residential complexes in various cities and regions of the emirate, to achieve family stability for citizens and continue the path of sustainable development in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The media was briefed on the system of housing support options that serve the various segments of society applying for it, such as new construction and completion services, home purchase, addition and maintenance, obtaining ready-made government housing within residential complexes, and creating mini-housing units.
The Housing Department implements distinguished projects that support the development of the government housing system in the emirate and aims to improve the reality of housing, support its requirements, and achieve the well-being and happiness of national families, taking into account the availability of all needs, service facilities, and infrastructure.
Director of the Government Communications Department in the Housing Department, Dr. Ahmed Al Naqbi, said that the department provides housing support to eligible citizens of the emirate, whether it is a housing grant or a housing loan, indicating that the eligibility for loans is for those with an income exceeding 25 thousand dirhams, while grants are disbursed to those whose income is less. about this amount.
