Maybe some don’t have it on their radar but right now Chad Stahelskidirector of the films John Wickhas been working on an adaptation of the latest video game from Sucker Punch, Ghost of Tsushima. This film has already been in plans for a long time, and until a few months ago the production has grown quite a bit, including the selection of the actors who could be involved in this AAA project to reach movie theaters.
In fact, it has recently been announced the intention of Sony Pictures for bringing in Hiroyuki Sanada in the film, and for those who don’t know him, he is one of the main actors in the series Shogun, which came out in February for streaming platforms. They have even already decided who could play in the adaptation, being the chosen one Lord Shimura, uncle of the protagonist of the game and it goes without saying, the artist would already be in talks to close a deal.
The so-called leaker DanielRPK is the one who would have made the details known, and in the end it would make sense, given that the director wants everything to be done with Japanese actors, so this will be his original language, even though the person responsible for guiding the actors is from USA.
Sanada, who played Toranaga-sama in Shogunis also known for his roles in The Last Samurai, Sunshine and Lost. His next appearance on movie screens will be another adaptation of Mortal Kombat 2and speaking of this film, the release year has recently been announced, which will occur in the 2025.
For now there is no more information about the tape. Ghost of Tsushima. So we will have to wait for more information.
