The First Descendant shows itself with a video diary dedicated to history of the free-to-play action RPG produced by Nexon, which will soon be the protagonist of a technical test in view of the summer launch on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
Announced in 2022, The First Descendant tells the story of the heirs of destiny, humans and Valgos: the former are chosen to help their species survive, while the latter invade them thinking that their role is the result of a curse.
This situation ends up generating inevitable conflicts, in which the so-called “heirs” exploit their own primordial skills to get the better of the Valgos in an attempt to close the dimensional portal through which the invasion is taking place.
In the video, the developers of The First Descendant discuss the role of the heirs in the plot, presenting some characters and their function within the story, and inviting users to also discover the other protagonists during the first open beta.
A new and fascinating world
The First Descendant is set in a new and fascinating world, which Nexon wishes to enrich with well-characterized figures and crucial events: a solid narrative base which will accompany the gameplay of the action RPG, and which will be revealed soon.
We tried The First Descendant last September, finding it to be a project with undoubted potential but also with several critical issues to resolvesuch as the banality of the missions and a certain degree of repetitiveness regarding progression.
On the other hand, the game on a graphic level offers an exciting spectacle, both for the characters and the settings, and the gunplay appears particularly refined thanks to the presence of well-implemented and customizable weapons.
