The rumors continue about an official presentation event by Sony, perhaps a PlayStation Showcasewhich would be expected for this Mayas had already been reported in the past by some leakers and it is reiterated in these hours by other sources whose reliability is however not certain.
We are talking, in particular, about Jeff Grubba well-known journalist from VentureBeat, and Nick Baker, a person who gravitates towards XboxEra with a rather well-known podcast, both of whom claim that a PlayStation Showcase will be held in May, probably in the second half of the month (pretty obvious clarification, at this point) .
In both cases obviously we can’t take anything for sure, but Grubb has become a source with good reliability, although far from perfect, while about “Shpeshal Nick” we can have well-founded reservations, given that he often didn’t get us right very much with his predictions.
A more extensive presentation for new projects
There are no details on the matter: “The PlayStation Showcase will still be held this month apparently,” Grubb reported in the same podcast in which he also reported the still “raw” conditions in which Perfect Dark for Xbox would find itself.
“I don’t know whether it could be next week or the week after,” he added, however, explaining that he didn’t have a more precise timing other than the fact that the event should be held in May. “It wouldn’t surprise me if that were to happen too next weekcould be confirmed at any time.”
Indeed, we are now accustomed to the new Sony organization announcing its presentation events at a few days away from their staging, so an announcement could arrive at any time these days, if it is indeed scheduled for this period.
It should be noted that the leakers define it as a “PlayStation Showcase”, that is, what should be the major presentation event in Sony’s communication organization in recent years, unlike the State of Play which is usually shorter and more concentrated, so it could be a rather large show, which could present projects that are more or less distant in time, considering that, in fact, it’s been a while since Sony has been in touch with official communications .
