Children’s narrative writings constitute a step towards establishing a generation of intellectuals and thinkers, who have their creativity, vision and thought in simulating the reality around them, with simple and direct concepts and vocabulary, and sequential and sequential events, not devoid of knowledge, science and moral and social values on which they were raised, to give their imagination free rein in drawing the features of their heroes. From the experiences of young authors, their story publications, and their passion for reading, comes the experience of the young author Ali Hamid Al-Loughani, who draws his ideas from the reality of the social values and principles that he grew up with and with which his personality was formed, which is what he wove into his collection of short stories, and among his works is the story “Giving Without Limit.” Without borders, to tell the story of the family and the extent of the interconnectedness and solidarity of its members and their concern for each other out of duty and social responsibility. As for its second release, it was titled Mana and the Stars. The story talks about space, its components, the secrets and mysteries in it, and the Creator’s creativity in it. It is an invitation to think about the space system and contemplate the divine wisdom of its creation.
The availability of copies of his publications in public libraries and book fairs serves as an incentive for him to present more meaningful narrative works directed at children. But the cost of printing in the beginning was an attempt without his works seeing the light of day, but with the support of Shaheen Publishing and Distribution House and the belief of its owners in the importance of children being creative and contributing their literary works to enrich children’s reading content.
Raise awareness
As for the child, Shaikha Al Dhaheri, she presented a book, The Magical Umbrella, in which she urges children to adhere to their mothers’ advice and to follow the laws and regulations followed by society, to avoid slipping into problems. Al Dhaheri advises children to read continuously and write with which to create their own world.
While the child, Maryam Ahmed Al Neyadi, excelled in spreading environmental awareness and spreading the spirit of volunteerism, cooperation, and love of goodness to others. These noble concepts were embodied in the story of Mahra and the Pearls, the events of which revolve around the heroine Mahra. Thanks to her courage and love for goodness, the tragedy turned into an adventure full of cooperation and achievements. Al Neyadi says: “Our environment is beautiful and it must be kept clean. Through interesting stories, I seek to educate children about practicing behaviors that contribute to reducing risks to the environment.”
Sustainability values
While the writer Bisan Muhammad Firas Othman focused in her short story writings on issues related to children, young people, and parents by simulating the values of the culture, customs, and traditions, in a way that blends reality with imagination. She pointed out, saying: “The City of Besarin” is my favorite book, as it is full of magic and inspiration, as it presents an imaginative world that carries within it an innovative idea for an ideal city that respects the environment and enhances environmental awareness among children.” Her message to every child is to trust in his abilities to reach a better future. Among her short story publications are The City of Bisarin, The Adventures of Bisan and Sirin, Footnotes on the Board, Inspired by a Dream Come True, Free Your Imagination, and The Emirates from Your Eyes.
Her sister, Cyrine Muhammad Firas Othman, shares this hobby and passion for reading, sharing with us her exciting story entitled “The Story of a Sun,” which represents the pinnacle of inspiration and motivation for children and readers alike. This story takes the reader on an exciting journey to the world of the sun, where the sun presents itself to him, in all its magic and splendor, and tells the story of the Emirates through its bright eyes. She said: “I directed the story to all fans of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary.”
Supporting children’s literature
