Anime Factory announced the arrival in Italian cinemas of The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyesanimated film by Tomohisa Taguchi. The feature film will be available in Italian cinemas for a special event that will last only three days: on June 10, 11 and 12.

Milan, 10 April 2024 – Anime Factory, a label owned by Plaion Pictures which includes the best of anime, cinema and home video offerings, is pleased to reveal the official Italian poster of the award-winning anime film The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes by Tomohisa Taguchi, which will arrive in Italy in cinemas in a special three-day event, the 10, 11 and 12 June 2024.
The film, based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Mei Hachimoku – which had already inspired a successful manga adaptation – was made by the Japanese animation studio CLAP (Pompo, the cinephile), and has already won over audiences and critics by winning the Paul Grimault Award at Annecy Festival 2023in addition to having been elected best film at the 2024 Anime Trending Awards.
Written and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi (Akudama Drive, Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War), and accompanied by the touching soundtrack of Harumi Fuuki (The invisible castle), this exciting sci-fi mystery story with romantic overtones asks viewers a question: what would you be willing to sacrifice to regain possession of what you care about most?

SYNOPSIS
According to some rumors, the Urashima tunnel allows you, by crossing it, to achieve what your heart desires… in exchange for a few years of your life. When Kaoru comes across the tunnel of legend, the boy thinks of Karen, a little sister he lost in an accident years earlier. Undecided about what to do, Anzu, a recently transferred student, convinces him to challenge space and time. But what will the young woman want from Kaoru? And what will the latter have left after the tunnel has finished with him?
