The presenter of Citofonare Rai 2 recounted the terrible experience of which she was the protagonist
Thursday morning arrives the most feared moment for a showgirl of the caliber of Simona Ventura. The presenter, in fact, woke up with a problem that involved the paralyzed left side of her face. A great initial scare, then the discovery of her.
Facial paresis is anyone's nightmare, especially those who work in television. It was one paralysis of the seventh facial cranial nerve, a transient disorder which, fortunately, has nothing neurological. Despite the paralysis, Simona Ventura went on air as always.
Thursday morning I woke up with my left side blocked. I was in Rome with Giovanni (Terzi, his partner, ed.) and I got scared. Then I did the usual tests and tests which confirmed that it was paralysis of the seventh facial cranial nerve. […] I never give up, not even dead. Then they explained to me what it is: it's nothing neurological, it just takes time.
His tenacity is unmatched and with the half of the face immobile, the showgirl regularly hosted her “Citofonare Rai2” program, also showing herself with courage and irony. “My face is half blocked, but it's no big deal,” she told her fans.
His steely temper has never bent adversity. “I'm an Aries”, she said, and her motto “Always believe, never give up”, on the other hand, has never been more relevant than in this situation she is experiencing. The support of her partner Giovanni Terzi and the love of the public help Simona Ventura to face this moment with serenity.
The 59-year-old presenter is experiencing a television season full of satisfactions. The participation in “Dancing with the Stars”, the live marriage proposal from Terzi and the peace found with her friend Mara Venier are just some of the recent goals achieved. Why newfound peace?
Simona Ventura had said that they didn't speak to “Aunt Mara” for 7 or 8 years. It all started when, a few years ago, Ventura was romantically linked to Geroe Carraro, son of husband of Mara Venier. From friends and colleagues and, therefore, relatives. Mara and Simona threw digs at each other from a distance. Way back in 2015, Venier replied to his colleague that he had said “I divide people into two categories: the respectable ones and the cockroaches”:
Well poor Simona, little slut. I don't think she was talking about me, but do you think I'm looking for visibility? I work like crazy here in Italy. What did Ventura say? Cockroaches? Anyone who says these things is mean, but I understand Simona: she was upset because I have a lot of work here, while she had to go to Tirana.
Now, however, it is time for a new wedding. On 6 July Simona will marry Giovanni Terzi. Preparations for marriage are underway and, despite the semi-paresis, Simona is more determined than ever to live this special day with joy and fullness.
