A stabbing is suspected to have taken place in the toilets of Hesburger in Tampere Keskustori. The person who received the stab wound apparently also moved around in Lempäälä later.
TAMPERE A stabbing is suspected to have happened at the Hesburger restaurant in Keskustor during the day on Saturday.
The suspected act took place in the restaurant's toilets, and there was no danger to bystanders, says the Crime Commissioner of the Internal Finland Police Markus Antila. The police got the job at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, and there were several police patrols at Keskustor to investigate the incident.
The case is being investigated as aggravated assault. The person who suffered a stab wound to his limb was taken to hospital, but he was discharged from hospital.
“The owner has not been willing to investigate the matter, nor has he seemed to accept the treatment,” explains Antila.
Later on Saturday, the police were also assigned to the S-market in Lempäälä, where a bloody person had been seen. It is suspected to be the person who received a stab wound in Tampere, says Antila.
“But the assignment in Lempäälä did not involve any crime. The wound received earlier had opened, and it was concluded that there was no need for the police.”
On Sunday afternoon, the police clarified that the victim is a man in his 30s. The parties involved in the incident are known to the police, but not all parties involved had been reached on Sunday. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
“At this stage, the police have not been able to identify any individual who committed the crime. Active investigations are underway”, says Antila.
