The Netherlands and the rest of the 'fertile delta' in Northwestern Europe deserve a special status in the European Union. In times of global unrest, war and climate change, food is so important that it is necessary. This was said by outgoing Agriculture Minister Piet Adema (Christian Union) on Friday afternoon during the largest agricultural fair in Europe, the Grüne Woche in Berlin.
