Politics is not in favor of a complete ban on fireworks

There will be no total fireworks ban. A call from Amsterdam Chief Commissioner Frank Paauw to gain more control over the riots on New Year's Eve with such a ban is not heard in The Hague. Parties are more in favor of a tougher approach to illegal fireworks.
