Al Bustan Hall in the Emirate of Fujairah witnessed the participation of large numbers of volunteers in the “Compassion for Gaza” campaign, from the first day of the launch of the campaign’s activities in the emirate, who responded to the call of humanitarian duty and took the initiative to help prepare food and health parcels. The campaign is supervised by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Fujairah Branch, and the Fujairah Charitable Society, in cooperation with various institutions and destinations.
The director of the Fujairah Charitable Society, Youssef Al-Marsoudi, told Emirates Today that a number of public and private schools and nurseries in the emirate took the initiative to provide financial and food donations, and contributed to supporting the campaign by bringing students to the headquarters and urging them to contribute to the community and join hands in humanitarian work in crises and disasters that occur. People go through it.
He said: “The campaign’s headquarters in Fujairah witnessed the influx of volunteers and donors from citizens and residents, which reflects their response to their affected brothers in the Gaza Strip. They also express their true commitment to the concept of giving and social responsibility, which highlights the integration between the values of society and the humanitarian spirit deeply rooted in their hearts.”
He added that the campaign is an extension of the UAE’s path of goodness and giving, which is constantly working to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions and mitigate their impact on those affected, noting the continued efforts to support and provide relief to the brotherly Palestinian people and alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis they face, through food and health parcels.
For her part, Sheikha Juma Al-Mismari, who works to organize volunteers from the Fujairah Charitable Society, said: “I work as one of the organizers and coordinators of volunteers for the Fujairah Charitable Society,” explaining that a large number of volunteers, including university students, senior citizens, and children, participated in the campaign.
She pointed out that humanitarian work prompted large numbers of volunteers to register to volunteer for the campaign, and their numbers reached more than 200 male and female volunteers ready to participate in preparing food and health parcels.
Meanwhile, volunteer Sumaya Abdullah Ali Al-Murr said: “As soon as I heard about the campaign, I registered electronically on the volunteer platform to participate in preparing food and health parcels and to support our brothers in the Gaza Strip,” noting that humanitarian duty was what called her to participate in the campaign.
